Bidirectional Optical Node

Description
TW3-16 is a tank type optical node with high performance which can be expanded with the development of network. Modular design makes it be assembled, upgraded and improved according to different requirement. It also can support single directional and bidirectional network application, such as CATV, Interactive video, phone and data transmission.

Features
  1. Aluminum casted housing, after dealing with anode conducting natural oxidization, it not only can prevent from oxidation, protect electronic equipment from weather damage, but also do well in heat dissipation.
  2. 1GHz, four allocated output in forward path, and four input in reversed path.
  3. Modular design. Four standard modules can be plugged in top cover, including one network management module, one power supply module, one forward receiver module and one reversed transmitter module. Each receiver module has fixed output level as 95dBuV (with AGC).
  4. Network management module: AMO-10 (single IP transponder, build-in CM). TW3-16 can be managed by SNMP, and the working status and parameters can be remote controlled and set. Even it can monitor whether the cover is opened.
  5. Optical input power from -8dBm to +3dBm. AGC: when the optical input power is in -6dBm to +2dBm, AGC will keep the RF output level constant. The output level of forward receiver module can be tiny tuned manually.
  6. DFB coaxial laser in reversed optical transmitter module, with APC circuit. It supports tri-state gate in reversed path. APC can keep optical output power constant. By tri-state gate (pass-through, switch-off and -6dB attenuate), the reversed path on/off or -6dB attenuation can be controlled remotely, convenient for user to manage or find the failure in reversed path.
  7. LED indicator for power and optical power of optical transmitter module, and LED indicator for optical power of optical receiver module.
  8. Two stages fuse and anti-thunder protection for input and output ports.
  9. Single power supply, over-current, over-voltage and short-circuit protection.
  10. Optical cable power port and independent electric cable power port.

The optical input power of optical node is -1dBm, 8dB tilt in 258MHz~1002MHz when measuring C/CTB, C/CSO and C/N.
